My name is Sandra. My husband, Daryl, and I have attended Living Way Church, formerly Victory Christian Center, for 20 years (October 2003). We are a part of Sunday morning intercessors and the prayer team after service. We head up one of the Wednesday Bible study groups. We have been doing Life ministry in the church five (5) years now and have been pressing in very determinedly for my emotional healing especially, but Daryl has also. We were born again in 1980. Over the years we didn't see a lot of healing for all my emotional hurts until Life ministries. We were excited to see something address emotional issues in a big way. Because we were doing Life ministry, it brought to our attention areas we needed to check in our own lives. The Lord did so much healing in me that I thought I was nearing the end of the major emotional issues, but then Pastor Jerry M. told us about Freedom Encounters in May 2002. Immediately we both wanted it. We experienced Freedom Encounters one year ago-June 18, 2002.

My life had been wrapped up in drugs and alcohol and I had been involved in the occult off and on and had lived with a witch. I was exposed to and witnessed many demonic manifestations.

Experienced Living God During Prayer Time

It was a joy to experience the deliverance from the generational curses in my life. I was also amazed to know and feel the presence of the Living God during the deliverance. I felt a warm feeling moving throughout my whole body. Since my deliverance I've had a peace in me and I am more aware of the tricks of the enemy.

Dream Life Now a Reality

Life AD (after deliverance) has been one incredible encounter after another. I would like to say they have all been good; however, that is not so. This brings the scripture more alive that says ALL things work together for the good to them who love the Lord who are called according to His purpose. My life has become so alive. I have become so much more aware of the presence of the evil in the world.

I notice many things that have changed since my deliverance 4 months ago. But the biggest is my ability to talk to people, to reach out, take risks. I was very insecure and afraid of rejection, looking foolish, etc. I have SO much more freedom now.

Teammate Speaks Out

This past year, I have seen Jesus work to free his Sons and Daughters so that he can fulfill his purpose. It is great to watch post deliverance too! To see a person so bound, to being free to begin their journey to emotional maturity makes me well up with tears. In one recent deliverance, I saw a young man that was physically being beat up by demons.

My name is Jim Wiens and this is a testimonial regarding the deliverance prayer my wife Judy and I had last year on 12-22-03. I knew it was time to get deliverance through Freedom Encounters when I ran into someone in the grocery store that was swayed into leaving our church by someone aggressively speaking out against Freedom Encounters and my immediate reaction was to do the "duck and run" so I didn't have to face them.

The stress from all those coming against our church and this ministry was having major physical symptoms of stress in my life. The "little purple pill" could no longer heal the hole in my stomach caused by stress...but God has. Through this ministry God has allowed many things to change in my life.

Goodbye Depression!

I'd been a born again Christian for 31 years. For the first 20 of those years I was involved with a strongly evangelical church whose goal was to "make disciples of all" according to Mathew 26:24ff. I worked hard at complying, doing what I thought I was supposed to do to have a relationship with God and not be a shame to the act of the cross, Jesus' blood and His proving resurrection.

I went through the deliverance prayer with Sylvia Thornberg and Marilyn on May 23, 2002. It was a remarkable experience. It was something that I have already sensed will be life changing. The two words that I would use to describe my thinking is that it is “clean” and “quiet”. My thought life is considerably quieter that it was before and I have a sense of being cleansed on the inside.

I have been attending Living Way Church formerly known as Victory Christian Center, here in Sioux Falls, for approximately 12 yrs. I am actively involved in the church. I lead worship and play instruments in our praise and worship band. From time to time the Lord uses me prophetically in various ways.

I was first made aware of the Freedom Encounter ministry by my pastor, J.M., who had received it himself, some time last year I think.
